St Joseph's School Uniform Requirements

We expect all students to take pride in their uniform. 

 

Uniform Shop

Opening Hours for 2018
 

MONDAYS FROM 8.30AM-9.00AM 

The uniform shop is an amazing service that has been established and ran by mums at our school and offers an invaluable service to our school families. We understand that it may be difficult for you to get to the shop during our opening hours therefore we are going to trial ordering online. This service will be effective immediately and will run until the end of term 2 and then be reviewed.

How to order:

  • Look through the price list (latest prices can be downloaded below) and decide which items you require and the size.

  • Email your order to stjosephsuniformshop@gmail.com.

  • Pay for your order online, stating UNIFORM and your NAME as a reference.

  • Bank account number 12-3165-0072145-00.

The emails will be checked on a Monday and Thursday. Once your payment has been received you will get an email to say that your order is ready and waiting for you in the school office. If we do not have your item in stock we will let you know ASAP and order it in. 

If for any reason the size is wrong or the goods are faulty please return it back to the uniform shop within 4 weeks in its original condition with labels on and we will happily exchange it for you.

Please note this is for new uniforms only, second had uniforms are available to view in the shop on Mondays from 8.30 – 9.00am.

Primary (Y1-6) Uniform

 

GIRLS:

Summer - Terms 1 & 4

  • Royal blue / White Gingham Dress.

  • School sweatshirt or polar fleece.

  • Regulation navy blue sun hat / cap must be worn in Terms 1 & 4.

Winter - Terms 2 & 3

  • Regulation navy “School” track pants may be worn as an option in Terms 2 & 3 in place of the “Catholic Schools” bib-top pinafore.

  • White long sleeve polo top or white skivvy.

  • Polypropolene or other undergarments must not be visible.

  • Navy or maroon scarves are optional in winter.

  • Coloured t-shirts and singlets beneath blouses are not acceptable as they show through. White t-shirts and singlets are fine. They are not to be worn long as they do not look good hanging out over the skirts but can be tucked in.

 

BOYS:

Summer - Terms 1 & 4

  • Grey shorts.

  • Navy polo top with school logo.

  • School sweatshirt or polar fleece.

  • Regulation navy blue sun hat / cap must be worn in Terms 1 & 4.

 

Winter - Terms 2 & 3

  • Regulation navy “School” track pants may be worn as an option in Terms 2 & 3 in place of grey shorts. If wearing trackpants, plain grey socks may be worn.

  • Navy long sleeve polo top with logo or navy skivvy.

  • Plain grey socks may be worn with track pants.

  • Navy or maroon scarves are optional in winter.

Intermediate Uniform

GIRLS:

  • The Intermediate girls will be required to wear the following uniform:

  • Maroon pleated skirt (this is not changing from the current skirt)

  • White short sleeved shirt with embroidered logo (the current shirt has no logo)

  • Navy knitted jersey with embroidered logo (to replace the polar fleece)

  • Navy or black sandals in summer

  • Navy or black closed toe shoes in winter

 

BOYS

  • Dark grey college shorts (to replace the existing light grey shorts)

  • White polo with embroidered logo (to replace the navy polo)

  • Navy knitted jersey with embroidered logo (to replace the polar fleece)

  • Navy or black sandals in summer

  • Navy or black closed toe shoes in winter

 

In addition school blazers will be available for Intermediate students when they are representing St Joseph’s School at interschool events or in the community.

 

Sports Uniform (Unisex)

 

  • Skirts and bibs will be provided for netball players.

  • St Joseph’s Sports Top purchased from the school Uniform Shop.

  • Appropriate swim-wear.

  • School track suits are available for teams representing our school.

  • All school-owned sports uniforms are to be returned clean at the end of the season or a charge for full recovery costs will be made.

 

 

Not approved

  • Pendants

  • Bracelets

  • Sleepers (rings in ears)

  • Permanent or stick-on tattoos

  • Sports socks (except for sport) Multi-coloured headbands or hair ties Piercings (other than ear lobes)

  • Rings

  • Make-up

  • Necklaces : Crosses, Neck chains

  • Nail varnish

 

Approved

 

  • Hair Ties:- Maroon, Navy (Ties include clip on bands, scrunchies, ribbons etc, any of which are to be compatible with the uniform).

  • Stud - one small, per ear only.

  • Medical bracelets.

 

Hair

  • Hair longer than collar length is to be tied back. “Remarkable” hair cuts or colours are not permitted.

 

Footware

 

  • Girls: Black, brown or blue sandals / plain black shoes or plain black sneakers. Plain

  • White ankle socks are optional in summer. Black or navy knee socks or tights are optional in winter. Sports socks are NOT allowed.

  • Boys: Black, brown or blue sandals / plain black shoes or plain black sneakers / grey socks with striped blue top - sports socks are NOT allowed.
