Development of Manaakitanga

Manaakitanga is the process of showing respect, generosity, kindness and care for others. It is the cornerstone of everything we do at St Joseph’s.

LITURGIES & CHURCH MASSES

Catholic education at St Joseph’s includes daily karakia and religious education lessons which follow our Liturgical year. Students actively participate in both liturgies and masses at St Mary’s our Holy Family Parish church onsite, and celebrate important feast days throughout the year.

SPIRIT OF ST JOSEPH’S

When we observe our students consistently living our school values of Caring for Ourselves - Rangatiratanga, Caring for Others -  Manaakitanga and Caring for our World - Kaitiakitanga, we recognise their efforts through our Spirit of St Joseph’s certificates and in The Intermediate, students are awarded the badges they have won, which they wear with pride!
